Oman to host India friendly?

Some news sources have been reporting that Oman could possibly host India in an international friendly ahead of the 2011 Asia Cup. Would be an interesting game considering the large Indian expatriate community in Oman.

Oman bid for 2015 Beach Football World Cup?

Still quite far away, but could be possible with Muscat hosting the 2010 Asian Beach Games. The game seems to be picking up here in Oman especially since a former national team player turned out for the national beach football team!

FC Zurich training in Oman

A top Swiss club side, FC Zurich arrived on the 15 of January for a 11 day winter training camp in Muscat. Details are:

“FC Zurich will be playing three matches during the training camp, the first one being played in Salalah against Dhofar Club. The second against Seeb Club at Seeb Stadium and the third against the Oman Olympic (under-23) team on January 25 at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.”
